| Cora is a product of the CAMO team in Montreal, but now calls Calgary "home". She is studying management at the University of Calgary. She made her senior team debut in 1992 at the Sicily Cup, where Canada placed second. Cora also competed at the Canada Cup, (second place), and the Holland Invitational, (fourth place). She attended the FINA Cup, (fifth place), and qualified for the 1994 World Aquatic Championships (fifth place). Cora played professionally in Italy and Holland from 1994-98. She has been a national champion since 1988 and a national all-star since 1989. Cora was an integral part of Canada's successful Olympic qualification at the FINA Cup in May 1999. Her sister Kimberley is also on the national senior team. | ||

Waneek Horn-Miller -

| Waneek,
a native Mohawk from Kahnawake, hails from the Ottawa Titans water polo
club and was a national junior team member in 1994-95. She helped lead the
team to a fifth-place finish at the 1995 World Junior Championship. Her
senior team debut came at the 1996 Olympic Year Tournament in Holland where
the team placed fifth. She led Carlton University to the Ontario University
championship in both 1994 and 1995. Waneek was three times named Carleton
University "Athlete of the Year". She has been a participant at
national championships since 1990. Waneek was a member of the 1999 FINA
Cup team which qualified for the Sydney Olympics, and also of the gold-medal
winning 1999 Pan Am team. |

Johanne Bégin |

| Johanne has been a member of the Ste-Foy Hydres club since 1987. She is currently employed as a police officer with the Quebec City Police. Johanne was a member of the Quebec team that competed at the 1991 Junior World Tournament. She made her senior team debut in 1991 at the FINA World Cup in Long Beach, California. Her list of senior competitions includes the 1991 FINA Cup, 1993 Six Nations Tournament, 1997 Canada Cup, 1997 FINA Cup and 1998 World Aquatic Championships. Johanne was part of the Olympic qualifying team at the FINA Cup in May 1999, and was named top scorer at the 1999 Pan American Games, where Canada won a gold medal. | ||

| Melissa graduated from McGill University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in physical therapy. She is a physiotherapist with L'Esprit Sport. Melissa was a national junior team member in 1994-95 and competed at the 1995 Junior World Championships in Ste-Foy, Quebec, where the team placed fifth. She has been a national championship participant since 1992. She made her debut with the senior squad at the FINA Cup held in France in September of 1997. Melissa was a participant in the 1998 World Championships in Perth, Australia. She was also part of the gold-medal winning team at the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg. | ||

Susan Gardiner |

| Sue was born in North Vancouver and still considers it to be her home. Her club team is Pacific Storm. Sue graduated from Carson Graham Secondary School, and she is now studying for her B.Sc. at Concordia University. She has been part of five medal-winning team in two National Club Championship categories over the past three years. Sue has been a member of the junior team from 1996 and she counts the recent silver medal at the 1999 Junior World Championship in Messina, Italy, as her most important sporting achievement to date. | ||

| Sandra was born in Quebec City, but now considers Montreal home. She attends law school at the University of Montreal. Her home club is CAMO in Montreal. Since 1994, she has competed at the Pan Am Junior Championships in Cuba, and the junior worlds in both Quebec and Prague. Sandra co-captained the 1997 junior national team. With the senior squad, she competed in Italy, (third place); in Holland, (fifth place); and at the World Aquatic Championships, (sixth place). In December 1998, she competed at the Holiday Cup, California (third place). She has taken part in six juvenile national championships, five junior national championships and three senior national championships. Sandra was a member of both the 1999 FINA Cup Olympic qualifying team and the 1999 Pan Am Games gold medal team. | ||
